What is a Signal 2?
Signal 2 refers to jobs received by ‘000’ (triple zero) that are occurring in real time and require immediate police assistance. As these true crime stories would have likely been delivered to first responding police as Signal 2 jobs, it seemed the perfect name for the podcast.
Who are we?
Alice
Alice graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2009 with a degree in Biomedical Science & Forensic Biology. With a love of forensic science, she has continued to follow her passion. After suffering from mental health setbacks, she decided to start Signal 2 as a reminder of why she loved the field of forensic science and true crime. With the support of Jimmy, Signal 2 was born.
Jimmy
Growing up, Jimmy has always held a passion for true crime stories that was borne from discussions with his older sister, Julie. With a morbid fascination of the most depraved crimes from around the world, particularly Australia, it only made sense to team up with Alice to create Signal 2. Here, we will share these stories with you from the point of a view of a professional, and a serial hobbyist!
